Artist Biography

Iwan Bala is an established artist, writer and lecturer based in Wales. His work at The River Gallery was a study he did while he was in Zimbabwe, working with the National Gallery. It is a study for a bigger piece which hangs at a museum in Wales.  He has held solo exhibitions annually since 1990, participated in many group exhibitions in Wales and abroad and is represented in public and private collections. He has published books and essays on contemporary art in Wales and is a frequent lecturer on the subject.
