Daryl Nero
Artist Biography
Daryl Nero grew up in South Africa. After graduating with an Honours in Fine Art (Painting), he continued to Croydon College of Art, London. He returned to South Africa but the political tensions at the time (Apartheid and the repressive regime) made him move to Zimbabwe in 1981 where he lived and painted until his death.
Daryl travelled extensively throughout Southern and Eastern Africa, in particular Mozambique and Zanzibar, painting everything from animals to architecture to people. His paintings are fluid and often impressionistic and his work can be found in many public and private collections.
